FEBRUARY 21-22, 2017 — Each year, the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) hosts a Principal Investigator (PI) Workshop for its Software Infrastructure for Sustained Innovation (SI2) Program — which is the program that funds the development of SAGE2.
Jason, Leigh, SAGE2 PI, attended the 2017 NSF SI2 PI meeting, held on 21–22 February 2017 at the Westin Arlington Gateway hotel in Arlington Virginia. The goal of the workshop is to make sure PIs understand and contribute to the goals of the SI2 program — to transform innovations inresearch and education into sustained software resources that are an integral part of the cyberinfrastructure. To this end, there were invited talks, breakouts, presentations by NSF program officers, and long breaks to encourage discussion. NSF also required that PIs bring and present a poster on their project, which are now archived on Figshare; see
