APRIL 13, 2018 — The Electronic Visualization Laboratory (EVL) at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), one of the lead development teams for SAGE2™, hosted a SAGE2 Training Session for Chicagoland users on April 13.
Luc Renambot, UIC associate research professor in the Computer Science (CS) department and at EVL, as well as a co-Principal Investigator (PI) and co-architect of the NSF-funded SAGE2 grant, along with Maxine Brown, co-PI of the SAGE1 grant, CS/EVL senior research programmer Lance Long, and CS/EVL graduate students Krishna Bharadwaj, Andrew Burks, Kristine Lee and Arthur Nishimoto, participated.
Invited sites represented included Argonne National Laboratory (ANL), Catherine Cook School, Northern Illinois University (NIU), Northwestern University, University of Chicago (UChicago) and the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). In addition, several other UIC campus sites were represented, including the ACM Student Chapter, Communications department, and Pathology department.
SAGE2 lead developers Jason Leigh (PI of the SAGE2 grant) and graduate student Dylan Kobayashi from the Laboratory for Advanced Visualization & Applications (LAVA) at University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa participated remotely.
The agenda covered both basic and advanced features, and participation was highly interactive.
